Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Privilege escalation (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-6814)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain elevated privileges.

The weakness exists due to a flaw in the Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center Networking (Apache Groovy) component. A remote attacker can escalate his privileges on the target system.

2) Arbitrary code execution (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-3253)

The vulnerability allows a remote unauthenticated user to cause arbitrary code execution on the target system.
The weakness exists due to improper serialization of runtime/MethodClosure.java. By sending a specially crafted serialized objects attackers can trigger arbitrary code to be executed.
Successful explotation of the vulmerability results in arbitrary code execution or denial of service on the vulnerable system.

3) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-17521)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect default permissions for temporary files and folders that are set by the application. A local user with access to the system can view contents of files and directories or modify them.
