Description
This security bulletin contains information about 9 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-37246)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error while parsing specially crafted PRT files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-37247)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error while parsing specially crafted PAR files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-37248)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error while parsing a specially crafted PAR file. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-37374)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error while parsing specially crafted STP files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-37375)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error while parsing specially crafted SPP files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-37376)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a type confusion error while parsing STP files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-38681)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of IGS files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
8) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-38679)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of SPP files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
9) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-38680)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of SPP files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
