Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-41862)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can send an unterminated string during the establishment of Kerberos transport encryption, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.


2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23918)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass implemented security restrictions.

The vulnerability exists due to improperly imposed security restrictions within the process.mainModule.require() method. A remote user can access non authorized modules.
