Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-22809)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists within the sudoedit (aka -e) feature due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input passed in the user-provided environment variables (SUDO_EDITOR, VISUAL, and EDITOR). 2) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12490)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the use of _blank for external links. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.

3) Insufficient Session Expiration (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-0041)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient session expiration issue. A remote non-authenticated user can obtain or guess session token and gain unauthorized access to session that belongs to another user.
