Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21898)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the dwgCompressor::decompress18() function. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted .dwg file, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21899)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the dwgCompressor::copyCompBytes21 function. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted .dwg file, trigger heap buffer overflow, and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21900)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in the dxfRW::processLType() function. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted .dwg file, trigger use-after-free, and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
4) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-45341)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the CDataMoji of the jwwlib component. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted JWW document, trigger heap buffer overflow, and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
5) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-45342)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the CDataList of the jwwlib component. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted JWW document, trigger heap buffer overflow, and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
6) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-45343)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the HATCH handling of libdxfrw. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted DXF document and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
