Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23569)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23580)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote user can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23910)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote user can trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.

4) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-42878)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information on the sytem.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and enable information disclosure.

5) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23909)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote user can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
