Description
This security bulletin contains information about 11 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-21927)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Interoperability SEC component in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.
2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-21936)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to read and manipulate data.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Web Runtime SEC component in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.
3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-36373)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when processing TAR archives. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Insecure Temporary File (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-15250)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to the application is using the test rule TemporaryFolder that stores sensitive information in temporary files in the system temporary directory, accessible by other system users. A local user can read temporary files and obtain sensitive information, related to the application.
5) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-41973)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop while processing HTTP requests. A remote attacker can consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.
6) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-30129)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the sshd-core of Apache Mina SSHD. A remote attacker can send specially crafted requests to the server, trigger buffer overflow and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
7) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-42003)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data when the UNWRAP_SINGLE_VALUE_ARRAYS feature is enabled. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
8) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-1311)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when scanning an external DTS file. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted DTS file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
9) Prototype pollution (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21824)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the formatting logic of the console.table() function. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and assign an empty string to numerical keys of the object prototype.
10) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-2274)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the RSA implementation for X86_64 CPUs supporting the AVX512IFMA instructions. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
SSL/TLS servers or other servers using 2048 bit RSA private keys running on machines supporting AVX512IFMA instructions of the X86_64 architecture are affected by this issue.
11) Double Free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-28738)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Regexp compilation process in Ruby. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a double free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
