This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-46908)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper implementation of the azProhibitedFunctions protection mechanism, which allows UDF functions such as WRITEFILE when relying on --safe for execution of an untrusted CLI script. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.


2) Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-31123)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected instance.

The vulnerability exists due to missing signature verification mechanism. A remote attacker can trick the server admin into installing a malicious plugin even though unsigned plugins are not allowed.
