SB2023041146 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Raw Image Extension

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-28292)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Raw Image Extension. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-28291)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system. .

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Raw Image Extension. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
