Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23407)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in Windows Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE). A remote attacker on the local network can exploit the race and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23414)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in Windows Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE). A remote attacker on the local network can exploit the race and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23385)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in Windows Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE), which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
