Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-34841)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A local user can trigger memory corruption and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
2) Protection Mechanism Failure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-27170)
The vulnerability allows a local user to bypass implemented security restrictions.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient implementation of security measures. A local user can bypass implemented security restrictions and elevate privileges on the system.
3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-34346)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to privilege escalation.
4) Protection Mechanism Failure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-36289)

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
