Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-21693)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in Microsoft PostScript Printer Driver. A remote attacker can trick the victim into connecting to a malicious printer, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read small portions of heap memory.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-21801)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Microsoft PostScript Printer Driver. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-21684)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error Microsoft PostScript Printer Driver. A remote user can send a specially crafted file to a shared printer, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the system.
