Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Insecure DLL loading (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43722)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to the application loads DLL libraries in an insecure manner. A remote user can place a specially crafted .dll file and execute arbitrary code on victim's system.


2) Cleartext transmission of sensitive information (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43724)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to software uses insecure communication channel to transmit sensitive information. A remote attacker can gain access to sensitive data, leading to arbitrary OS commands execution when xp_cmdshell feature is enabled.
