Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-26804)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when parsing SKP file. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted SKP file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-44692)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing 3MF files. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted 3MF files, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-47213)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the Microsoft Office Graphics. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
4) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-47212)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing SKP files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted SKP file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
5) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-47211)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when parsing SKP files. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted SKP file, trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-26806)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when parsing SKP files. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted SKP file, trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-26805)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing SKP files. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted SKP file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
