Description

This security bulletin contains information about 12 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2002-20001)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in the Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement Protocol. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43530)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the web-based management interface. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

3) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43531)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the web-based management interface. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

4) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43532)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the web-based management interface. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

5) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43533)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in the ClearPass OnGuard macOS agent, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.

6) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43534)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in the ClearPass OnGuard Linux agent, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.

7) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43535)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in the ClearPass OnGuard Windows agent, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.

8) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43536)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the web-based management interface. A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

9) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43537)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the web-based management interface. A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

10) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43538)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the web-based management interface. A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

11) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43539)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the ClearPass Policy Manager cluster communications. A remote administrator on the local network can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.

12) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43540)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the ClearPass OnGuard macOS agent. A local user can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
