This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Hidden functionality (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38372)

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system

The vulnerability exists due to hidden functionality (backdoor) is present in software. A local administrator can use this functionality to obtain a root shell on the device via an undocumented command.


2) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-33870)

The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in CLI command. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
