Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-22442)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-40235)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker on the local network can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-35717)
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A local attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-30608)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
5) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-30615)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
6) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-40747)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or consume memory resources.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.
7) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-35642)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
