Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-36361)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing TCP packets. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-36362)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can manipulate the devices IP address and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-36363)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected device does not properly validate an offset value which can be defined in TCP packets when calling a method. A remote attacker can retrieve parts of the content of the memory.
