Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-35846)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a brute-force attack.
The vulnerability exists due to missing brute-force protection within the Telnet service. A remote non-authenticated attacker can guess credentials of an admin user via a brute force attack.
2) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-35844)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the management interface. A local user can pass specifically crafted arguments to commands of the certificate import feature and execute arbitrary OS commands on the system.
3) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-33873)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Console, Telnet, and SSH login components. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
