Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-25013)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the ShiftBytes() function in libwebp. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-25031)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted URL to display remote OpenAPI definitions.
