Description

This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38401)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted PCX file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38402)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted SVG file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds read and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38403)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted SVG file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds read and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

4) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38404)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted SVG file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

5) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38405)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted SVG file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

6) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38406)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted EPS file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

7) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38407)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted EPS file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
