Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10208)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to way PostreSQL processes SECURITY DEFINER functions. A privileged attacker with EXECUTE permission, which must itself contain a function call having inexact argument type match, can execute arbitrary SQL query under the identity of the function owner.

2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-25694)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote attacker can perform a man-in-the-middle attack or observe clear-text transmissions and downgrade connection security settings.

3) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-25695)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

4) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-29425)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error within the FileNameUtils.normalize method when processing directory traversal sequences, such as "//../foo", or "\..foo". A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and verify files availability in the parent folder.

5) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13956)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected application.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Apache HttpClient. A remote attacker can pass request URIs to the library as java.net.URI object and force the application to pick the wrong target host for request execution.

6) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-25649)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to modify information on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and modify information on the system.

7) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27568)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read data or crash the application.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the REST Services (netplex json-smart-v1) component in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read data or crash the application.

8) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-28491)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
