Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-40391)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input in the drill format T-code tool number functionality. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted drill file, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.


2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-40401)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in the RS-274X aperture definition tokenization functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted gerber file and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
