Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-5352)
The vulnerability allows remote authenticated users to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can cause a denial of service (use-after-free and double free, and daemon crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via crafted GSSAPI traffic, as demonstrated by traffic to kadmind.
2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-4344)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the lib/gssapi/spnego/spnego_mech.c in MIT Kerberos 5. A remote attacker can trigger denial of service conditions via an empty continuation token at a certain point during a SPNEGO negotiation.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-2695)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
lib/gssapi/spnego/spnego_mech.c in MIT Kerberos 5 (aka krb5) before 1.14 relies on an inappropriate context handle, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (incorrect pointer read and process crash) via a crafted SPNEGO packet that is mishandled during a gss_inquire_context call.
