Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-30596)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in assignment bulk marker allocation form. A remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-30597)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to description field hidden by user policies (hiddenuserfields) is still visible. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
3) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-30599)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in Badges code relating to configuring criteria. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
4) Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-30600)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to issue in the logic used to count failed login attempts. A remote attacker can bypass the account lockout threshold.
5) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-30598)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the global search results. A remote user can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
