This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) UNIX symbolic link following (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-22962)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a symlink following issue. A local user can change the default shared folder location and gain elevated privileges on the system.


2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-22964)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions within configuration file, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
