Description

This security bulletin contains information about 12 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21364)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Weblogic component in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.

2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-37695)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the Fake Objects plugin. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

3) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21369)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Rich Text Editor component in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.

4) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21272)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Portal component in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.

5) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21359)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Optimization Framework component in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.

6) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21345)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Security component in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.

7) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-23337)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary commands on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing templates. A remote privileged user can inject and execute arbitrary commands on the system.

8) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-3712)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when processing ASN.1 strings related to a confusion with NULL termination of strings in array. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application to trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

9) Cleartext transmission of sensitive information (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22946)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an error, related to incorrect enforcement of the --ssl-reqd option on the command line or CURLOPT_USE_SSL setting set to CURLUSESSL_CONTROL or CURLUSESSL_ALL with libcurl. A remote attacker with control over the IMAP, POP3 or FTP server can send a specially crafted but perfectly legitimate response to the libcurl client and force it silently to continue its operations without TLS encryption and transmit data in clear text over the network.

10) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-37137)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Content Acquisition System (Netty) component in Oracle Commerce Guided Search. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

11) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-2351)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Advanced Networking Option in Oracle Database Server. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.

12) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22931)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Cluster: General (Node.js) component in MySQL Cluster. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
