Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-26097)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote user can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-24014)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

3) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-26096)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote user can send specially crafted request to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

4) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-24010)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote user can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.

5) Session Fixation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-26098)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to the application.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of predictable session identifier for JSON API. A remote attacker in possession of a few information pieces about the state of the device to possibly predict valid session IDs.

6) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-29011)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

7) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-15939)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote attacker can bypass implemented security restrictions and download the device configuration file via the recovery URL.

8) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22124)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in login modules. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
