Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-36005)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing Photoshop files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Improper Initialization (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-36006)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The
vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied
input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted MP4 file, trick
the victim into opening it and gain access to sensitive information.
