Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-0067)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in system firmware. A local administrator can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain elevated privileges on the system.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-0054)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in system firmware. A local administrator can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
