Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21101)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21103)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing Adobe Illustrator files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21104)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing Adobe Illustrator files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21105)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing Adobe Illustrator files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Files or Directories Accessible to External Parties (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21102)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing Adobe Illustrator files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted filename with path traversal characters and overwrite arbitrary files on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
