Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1509)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the vDaemon process in Cisco SD-WAN vEdge Software. A remote user can send specially crafted traffic to the system, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1510)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the packet mirroring feature in Cisco SD-WAN vEdge Software. A remote attacker can send specially crafted traffic to the system, trigger memory corruption and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1511)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in forwarding error correction in Cisco SD-WAN vEdge Software. A remote user authenticated to the device through IPsec can send specially crafted traffic to the system, trigger memory corruption and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
