Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10392)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected software does not properly restrict values passed as URL argument to an invocation of git "ls-remote". A remote authenticated attacker with Job/Configure permission can execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-16538)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass sandbox restrictions.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote authenticated attacker can circumvent the Sandbox protection through closure default parameter expressions and execute arbitrary code on the Jenkins master JVM.

3) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2109)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to the sandbox protection in the affected plugin can be circumvented through default parameter expressions in CPS-transformed methods. A remote authenticated attacker can specify and run sandboxed Pipelines to execute arbitrary code in the context of the Jenkins master JVM.

4) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2110)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to the sandbox protection in the affected plugin can be circumvented during the script compilation phase by applying AST transforming annotations such as "@Grab" to imports or by using them inside of other annotations. A remote user with Overall/Read permission can bypass sandbox protection and execute arbitrary code in the context of the Jenkins master JVM.

5) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2111)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected software does not escape the error message for the Project Repository Base URL field form validation. A remote authenticated attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

6) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2134)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to the Sandbox protection can be circumvented through a crafted constructor calls and bodies. A remote authenticated attacker can specify and run sandboxed scripts to execute arbitrary code in the context of the Jenkins master JVM.

7) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2135)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to the Sandbox protection can be circumvented through a crafted method calls on objects that implement "GroovyInterceptable". A remote authenticated attacker can specify and run sandboxed scripts to execute arbitrary code in the context of the Jenkins master JVM.

8) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2136)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in error message for the repository URL for Microsoft TFS field form validation.
