Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2170)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in package names in its displayed table of packages obtained from a remote server. A remote autheticated attacker can permanently inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-2171)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote authenticated attacker able to control the input files for the "RapidDeploy deployment package build" build or post-build step can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.
