SB2020032505 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Intel Raid Web Console 3

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-8688)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the web API functionality in "DISCOVERY" endpoint. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted POST request to the application and crash the "LSA.exe" service.

2) NULL Pointer Dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-8688)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the web API functionality in add server feature. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted POST request and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
