Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-11454)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to inject arbitrary JavaScript via  user field of the Authorization header for HTTP Basic Authentication and execute it during an "_viewlog" operation.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.


2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-11455)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when processing parameters passed via HTTP GET or POST requests within the Util_urlDecode() function in util.c. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the affected application, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory.
