Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-4966)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in (1) crafted lookup('pipe') calls or (2) crafted Jinja2 data. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-4967)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.

Multiple argument injection vulnerabilities in Ansible before 1.6.7 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging access to an Ansible managed host and providing a crafted fact, as demonstrated by a fact with (1) a trailing " src=" clause, (2) a trailing " temp=" clause, or (3) a trailing " validate=" clause accompanied by a shell command.
