Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-5063)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists in the "persistence_xml.cpp" file due to a boundary error in the data structure persistence functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted XML file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-5064)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists in the "persistence_json.cpp" file due to a boundary error in the data structure persistence functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted JSON file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
