Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1316)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to Windows Setup does not properly handle privileges. A local authenticated user can run a specially crafted application and run processes in an elevated context.
2) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1320)
The vulnerability allows a local user to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to Windows improperly handles authentication requests. A local user can run a specially crafted application on the victim system, bypass authentication process and run processes in an elevated context.
3) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1322)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to Windows improperly handles authentication requests. A local user can bypass authentication process and run processes in an elevated context.
4) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1340)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to Windows AppX Deployment Server allows file creation in arbitrary locations. A local authenticated user can run a specially crafted application and take control of an affected system.
