Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-0988)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the way the JIT compiler handles the RegExp.input property in jscript9.dll. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1055)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing HTML content within the the scripting engine. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web page, trick the victim into visiting it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-0920)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing HTML content within the the scripting engine. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web page, trick the victim into visiting it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

4) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1005)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing HTML content within the the scripting engine. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web page, trick the victim into visiting it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

5) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1080)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing HTML content within the the scripting engine. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web page, trick the victim into visiting it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

6) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1038)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the way Microsoft browsers access objects in memory. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

7) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1081)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when processing HTML content. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web oage, trick the victim into visiting it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

8) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-0940)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing HTML content. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web oage, trick the victim into visiting it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
