This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12614)

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dreference error in dlpar_parse_cc_property in arch/powerpc/platforms/pseries/dlpar.c due to  kstrdup of prop->name. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12615)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to NULL pointer dereference within the get_vdev_port_node_info() function in arch/sparc/kernel/mdesc.c. A remote non-authenticated attacker can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
