Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-3816)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect default configuration of the application due to the working directory of openwsmand daemon was set to root directory. A remote unauthenticated attacker can use the API to view contents of arbitrary file on the system.
2) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-3833)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop within the process_connection() function when processing HTTP requests. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the affected server and consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.
