1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-11319)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of searches for configuration files (it searches the current directory up to potentially the root). A remote unauthenticated attacker with write access to a directory that is a parent of the base directory of the project being checked can supply a malicious gcc plugin and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
