Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-0920)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.The weakness exists in the Projects::MergeRequests::CreationsController component due to an authorization bypass issue. A remote attacker can see every project name and their respective namespace on a GitLab instance.
2) Configuration error (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-8971)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain elevated privileges on the target system.The weakness exists in the Auth0 integration due to an incorrect omniauth-auth0 configuration. A remote attacker can gain root privileges.
