1) Memory corruption (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-0986)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.The weakness exists due to boundary error when the Microsoft Malware Protection Engine does not properly scan a specially crafted file. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code in the security context of the LocalSystem account.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
