1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17081)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in the gmc_mmx function in libavcodec/x86/mpegvideodsp.c due to improper validation of widths and heights. A remote attacker can supply specially crafted MPEG file, trigger integer signedness error and out-of-array read to cause the service to crash.
