Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-7088)

The vulnerability allows a remote privileged attacker to erase a device.

The weakness exists due to input validation error in AutoDiscover V1. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted content and reset arbitrary data during Exchange account setup.

2) Memory corruption (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-7072)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition.

The weakness exists due to improper handling of objects in memory. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted iBooks file, trigger memory corruption and cause the device to crash.

3) Memory corruption (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-7097)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition.

The weakness exists due to improper handling of objects in memory. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted image file, trigger memory corruption and cause the device to crash.

4) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-7118)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition.

The weakness exists due to input validation error. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted image file, and cause the device to crash.

5) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-7133)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to modify information.

The weakness exists due to permissions error  in MobileBackup Backup. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted content and cause a backup to be unencrypted when set to perform only encrypted backups.

6) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-7089)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via a login name, password, or e-mail address. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.


7) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-7106)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.

The vulnerability exists due to unknown error. A remote attacker can trick the victim into visiting a specially crafted website and spoof address bar and other parts of web page.
