Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-18231)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in the ReadEnhMetaFile function due to NULL pointer dereference. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opnening it and cause the service to crash.
2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-18230)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in the ReadCINEONImage function due to NULL pointer dereference. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it and cause the service to crash.
3) Memory corruption (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-18229)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in the ReadTIFFImage function due to memory allocation. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and cause the service to crash.
4) Memory corruption (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-18219)
The vulnerability allows a remote unauthenicated attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in the ReadOnePNGImage function due to memory allocation. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted file, trigger memory corruption and cause the service to crash.
5) Use-after-free error (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-18220)
The vulnerability allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in the ReadOneJNGImage and ReadJNGImagefunctions due to use after free. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted file, trigger memory corruption and cause the service to crash.
