Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Double Free (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-9078)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a double free in cleanup of TCP listeners when the -a option is enabled. The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to trigger double free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system with root privileges.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-9079)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the application allows usage of symlinks when configured with authorized_keys file format and a command= option. A local user can read certain files on the system with root privileges.
