Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-2834)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.

Mozilla Network Security Services (NSS) before 3.23, as used in Mozilla Firefox before 47.0, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via unknown vectors.

2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-5285)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in PK11_SignWithSymKey / ssl3_ComputeRecordMACConstantTime. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-8635)

Hubert Kario discovered that NSS incorrectly handled Diffie Hellman client key exchanges. A remote attacker could possibly use this flaw to perform a small subgroup confinement attack and recover private keys.
